• User Content & Files: We collect the content you upload to the Platform to enable our AI features. This includes:

  • Documents (PDF, DOCX, PPT, etc.).

  • Multimedia files (Audio recordings, Video recordings, Images/Snapshots of notes).

  • Links (Website URLs, YouTube links, and Playlist links).

  • Text input (Copy and pasted text).

• Generated Learning Data: We collect data regarding your interaction with the learning tools, including:

  • Quiz scores and answers.

  • Flashcard performance (tags such as "I know" or "I don't know").

  • Study plan preferences, schedules, and completion status.

  • Summaries, revision notes, and transcripts generated from your content.

• Audio Recordings: When you use the recording feature to record classes or notes, we collect the audio data to provide playback, transcription, and AI analysis services.

• Messages and AI Interactions: We collect the content of the messages you send when you communicate with our AI (e.g., "Chat with Document," AI Tutor feedback) and the queries you submit.

• Purchase Information: When you make a purchase on or through the Platform (e.g., subscriptions), we collect information about the purchase and payment method.

• Surveys and Feedback: Information you provide if you participate in a survey, research, contest, or when you contact us for support.

Automatically Collected Information

• Technical Information: We automatically collect certain device and network connection information when you access the Platform, including your IP address, unique device identifiers, mobile carrier, device model, and system settings (language/region).

• Usage Information: We collect metadata about how you engage with the Platform, including:

  • Features used (e.g., Picture-in-Picture mode, File Manager actions).

  • Content interaction (files viewed, audio listened to).

  • Gamification Data: We track your Daily Streaks, XP (Experience Points), and Achievements to update your progress and leaderboard status.

• Performance Metrics: We track your learning progress, including concept mastery levels (Mastered, Proficient, Developing), time spent per task, and study distribution.

• Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and for analytics.

Information From Other Sources

• Linked Services: If you sign up using a third-party service (e.g., Google, Apple), that service will share information such as your name, email, and profile picture.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate, provide, develop, and improve the Platform, including:

1. To Provide the Platform:

   • Processing your uploaded files to generate summaries, revision notes, and transcripts.

   • Creating and managing your account and file repository.

   • Enabling file management features (archive, filter, sort, folders).

2. To Personalize Your Learning Experience (Adaptive Learning):

   • Analyzing your quiz and flashcard performance to generate recommendation algorithms (e.g., suggesting a "Practice Weak Spots" quiz if a score is <70%, or a "Challenge" quiz if >90%).

   • Generating "Recommended Actions" based on your activity history (e.g., reminding you to take a quiz on a specific topic).

   • Creating dynamic Study Plans and acting as an "AI Tutor" to assign tasks based on your schedules and past performance.

3. To Improve Technology:

   • We use usage data to train and improve our machine learning models to better understand educational content and generate more accurate questions and summaries.

4. To Facilitate Communication:

   • Sending push notifications for study reminders, streak updates, and recommended actions.

   • Responding to support queries.

5. Gamification:

   • Calculating and displaying XP, streaks, and badges/achievements.

6. Safety and Security:

   • To maintain the safety and security of the Platform and detect illegal activity or violations of our Terms.

How We Share Your Information

We share your personal information with the following recipients:

• Service Providers: We engage providers for cloud hosting (storage of your files), AI processing (to generate summaries/quizzes), content delivery, analytics, and payment processing.

• Third-Party Platforms: If you link a YouTube playlist or use a third-party login, data may be shared to facilitate those integrations.

• Corporate Group: Entities within Pracee Global Ventures may process information to support the Platform.

• Legal Obligations: We may disclose information to law enforcement or regulators if required by law, to protect our rights, or to ensure the safety of our users.

• Corporate Transactions: In the event of a merger, sale, or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the new owner.

However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information and uploaded content for as long as necessary to provide the Platform services (e.g., maintaining your repository and study history for the "Review" feature). We may retain data longer for legal compliance or dispute resolution.

International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be stored on secure servers located outside of your country of residence. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

Children’s Privacy

Clarity is not directed at children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it.

SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS – JURISDICTION SPECIFIC

If you access the Platform from specific jurisdictions, the following terms apply and supersede conflicting terms in the main policy.

European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and UK

Legal Basis for Processing:

• Performance of Contract: Providing the file repository, generating AI summaries, and managing study plans.

• Legitimate Interests: Improving our AI models, gamification features, and security.

• Consent: Sending marketing communications (where applicable).

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing (specifically regarding automated decision-making in study plans if it produces legal effects), and data portability.
